Military Museum

Introduction

The Military Museum, found on the western side of the city is a dream come true for any military buff. This museum tracks the history of the People’s Liberation Army from 1927 to the present.

A permanent exhibition of more than 5,000 items includes photographs, directives, military uniforms and weaponry. Visitors can examine the oil lamp used by Mao Zedong during the Jinggang mountain struggles, US tanks from the Korean War, AK47 rifles, flamethrowers and socialist art work of revolutionary heroes. Outside the museum you can see old bombers and U2 wreckage. The museum store sells unique products such as guerilla-era military gear and soviet army binoculars.
